IOS 9.3.3 update

Apple has recently released, not only an IOS update, but also a mac update, iwatch update, ipad update and even apple tv recieved this update. The reason behind this particular update though may actually be surprising to most of us. Apple devices have always been touted with having the best security of any of its software competitors. Yet this recent discovery of a flaw in how Apple’s software handles images has come to light.

Basically Apple devices are built to automatically render images when received.,whether in a message or even on safari. So by the devices doing this it makes it vulnerable to having hidden code executed through the image it is attempting to render. This then makes it easy for a hacker to get into any device and take over any and all personal data that it may choose. Kinda scary right?

Well that’s why you should update all of your apple products as soon as possible!

We must give credit to Apple though for the extraordinarily fast response to the security flaw. In recent history Google’s Android devices faced similar security flaws known as “stagefright” that were not handled in a timely manner. Basically anyone who does not have the latest software installed on their devices is at risk. But thankfully their is a solution to give consumers peace of mind.

Update your device!
